Kkrytical making moves
Jamaican dancehall artiste Kkrytical is gearing up for a busy season on the international stage as he continues to build momentum with new music and high-energy performances.
He is preparing to take on a series of major events later this month. Among them are Vinci on May 22 at the National Stadium car park in Jamaica; Best of the Best on May 24 in Miami, Florida; and Sandz Florida on May 25, also in Miami.
“Preparations for these shows are going good. [I am] working on my stage appearance and performance; getting it right. Fans attending the events can expect a dynamic showcase, a great performance, energetic set at all appearances,” the deejay, whose given name is Ronald Longmore, told the Jamaica Observer.
The artiste has also been making waves with several recent recordings, particularly on trending rhythms. His track Mukkaz, done in collaboration with DJ Mac on the WYFL rhythm, has been gaining traction, while another single, Hustla with DJ Skip, recently trended in Jamaica, and is now performing well in New York.
Kkrytical revealed that he has a number of new songs in the pipeline and is currently working on an EP.
The deejay hails from St Catherine, having spent his early years in Portmore before relocating to Clarendon and later migrating to the United States.
With over 15 years in the music industry, Kkrytical credits his start to the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition, which helped to launch his professional career.
Known for his lyrical clarity, flow, and delivery, Kkrytical believes his artistry sets him apart in a competitive genre. He describes his style as “a cut above the rest”, pointing to his commitment to crafting music with substance and precision.
While he does not have a specific dream collaboration in mind, the deejay remains open to working with any artiste willing to create.
Looking ahead, his focus remains firmly on growth and impact.
“Still doing music and taking dancehall to the highest point I can bring it,” he said of his five-year vision.
To aspiring entertainers, Kkrytical encouraged them to remained diligent.
“Stay in your lane, don’t follow trends, believe in yourself and don’t doubt your craft. Instead, work, practice, and try to top everything you do,” he said.
