Cop breaks leg in bike crash during escort of IShowSpeed
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A policeman is nursing a broken leg after he was involved in a motorcycle crash on Friday.
It is understood that the crash happened about 2:15pm while the police constable, assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Division, was participating in an escort of American social media star IShowSpeed along Spanish Town Road in Kingston.
Reports are that the policeman was traveling aboard his service motorcycle when a blue Honda Fit overtook the bike before stopping abruptly, resulting in the cop having to apply a sharp brake and the vehicle sliding off the road with the policeman.
The cop was assisted to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was treated for a broken leg and is now recovering.
IShowSpeed, whose birth name is Darren Watkins Jr, was in Kingston as part of his Caribbean Tour. His excursion across the Corporate Area was streamed live and drew millions of viewers from across the world.
