Applications open for Mini Miss Kingston & St Andrew Heritage Queen Pageant 2026
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The search is officially on for talented, confident, and culturally aware young ladies to participate in the highly anticipated Mini Miss Kingston and St Andrew Heritage Queen Pageant, a prestigious platform designed to celebrate Jamaica’s rich heritage while empowering the nation’s youth.
The parish pageant serves as a qualifier for the Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen Pageant, which is proudly endorsed by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC). The selected finalist will go on to represent Kingston and St Andrew at the national level, vying for the coveted national crown.
Reflecting on last year’s success, Annorah Brown, a student of Campion College, made the parish proud by securing the position of second runner-up at the national level, an achievement that has set a strong standard for this year’s competition.
Parish Director Stephanie Elliott-Gunning expressed optimism about the upcoming staging, noting, “Last year’s accomplishment has inspired us tremendously, and we are aiming to replicate—and even surpass—that success this year. Recruitment is ongoing, and we are encouraging parents to get their daughters involved in this enriching experience.”
Elliott-Gunning further noted that preparations are already underway, stating, “The tentative date for the parish finals is sometime in August this year, so we’ll need to move swiftly in identifying and preparing our delegates.”
Interested parents and guardians are invited to begin the registration process by contacting 876-449-4179 for further details.
The Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen Pageant enjoyed a successful inaugural national staging last year, following over two decades as the Mini Miss St Ann Heritage Queen Pageant under the leadership of founder Damion Duckett. The competition continues to provide a meaningful space for young girls to develop confidence, cultural awareness, and stage presence.
The deadline for applications is May 22, 2026. For media inquiries, interested persons may contact Stephanie Elliott-Gunning, parish director for Kingston & St Andrew, Mini Miss Jamaica Heritage Queen Pageant.
