Supreme Ventures Limited continues its support of Jamaica’s netball development
Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) continued to champion sports excellence across Jamaica, serving as the title sponsor for the recently concluded Netball Jamaica Major and Minor League.
This sponsorship, which forms part of SVL’s partnership with the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA), culminated with a spectacular final round of matches last Saturday.
The highlight of the weekend was the fiercely contested Major League final between Jamalco and Upsetters.
In a captivating match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, Jamalco ultimately secured a hard-fought victory, edging out Upsetters with a final score of 37 to 36 to claim the championship title.
Chloleen Daley-Muschett, assistant vice-president of pr and corporate affairs at SVL, was present at the match to deliver remarks and commend the athletes on their outstanding performance.
“Supreme Ventures has always believed in the power of sport to unite and inspire our nation,” stated Daley-Muschett.
“The senior Sunshine Girls remain one of the country’s best ranked national teams globally. Watching the incredible athleticism, passion, and determination displayed by the young netballers during the tournament, underscores exactly why we are so dedicated to investing in the Major and Minor Leagues as we know it’s integral to unearthing the next generation of national netballers.”
Karen Rosen-Baugh, president of Netball Jamaica, expressed her immense gratitude for the continued and robust partnership with SVL.
“The steadfast support from Supreme Ventures Limited is a monumental boost for the sport of netball in Jamaica,” remarked Rosen-Baugh. “Their generous investment not only facilitates the highly successful execution of our Major and Minor Leagues but also guarantees the vital, ongoing development of our junior athletes. It is through dedicated corporate partnerships like this that we can ensure Jamaican netball continues to thrive and remains a dominant, celebrated force on the global stage.”
Last year, SVL was one of the first corporate entities to respond to Baugh’s public call for support to send the Under-21 Sunshine Girls to the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar with a contribution of $5 million.
