Contractor suspected of suicide was wanted for alleged machete attack — police
ST MARY, Jamaica — The 43-year-old contractor whose body was found on Wednesday behind his house in a decomposing state in what appears to be a suspected suicide was wanted for questioning in connection with an alleged machete attack on his child’s mother, the police said.
Oneero Roberts, also known as “Anif” of Comsee district in Highgate, St Mary, was being sought following a domestic dispute in which he allegedly attacked the mother of his child with a machete after she reportedly ended their relationship.
Investigators said the woman’s mother intervened during the incident and was also injured.
Both women were taken to hospital for treatment after the attack, while Roberts reportedly fled the scene before the police arrived.
He was not seen again until Wednesday, when his body was discovered in a decomposing state behind his house.

The police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
