Treasure Beach Village celebratory weekend

‘Butch’ Stewart would have said ‘I’m proud of you, Adam!’

Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) Premier Washington Misick could not mask his national pride at being present at the recent celebratory weekend marking the official opening of the Treasure Beach Village, the latest addition to Beaches TCI on Providenciales.

Misick told Jamaican journalists covering the event that he had been a close friend of Sandals and Beaches founder, the late Gordon “Butch” Stewart, and he was certain what he would have said had he been alive to attend the glitzy opening ceremony that took the TCI by storm.

“I have no doubt that ‘Butch’ would have said: ‘I am proud of you Adam’ — his son and current executive chairman of Sandals Resorts International who has ushered in what he termed Beaches 2.0, a new season of ultra-modern resorts building on the blistering pace set by his great father.
