WATCH: Woman in custody for suspected arson in St Mary

ST MARY, Jamaica – A 59-year-old woman is in police custody after allegedly setting fire to two office buildings, a pickup truck, and a motor car at the Surrey and Aggregate compound in Georgia, St Mary.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 2pm on Sunday. The caretaker said the woman was acting boisterously and refused to leave the premises despite repeated pleas.

He left to report her to the Annotto Bay police and, upon returning, found both buildings already ablaze.

The Annotto Bay police and fire station responded to the scene and the woman was arrested as investigations got underway.
