Causion promotes Antigua in ‘Feels Like I’m Dreaming’ set for June release
Causion was recently in Antigua to film a video for Feels Like I’m Dreaming, his latest song promoting his homeland. The reggae track, which he co-wrote and co-produced with Maurice Gregory, is being released in June.
The visual is produced by Elite Island Resorts, a company that markets Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism product. It is Causion’s fifth project projecting the country’s leisure industry, which is its biggest earner of foreign exchange.
While he enjoys the production aspect of the campaigns, Causion says he is a patriot in every sense of the word.
“I’m not a spokesperson hired to sell an idea — I’m an Antiguan who genuinely loves his home. Working with Elite Island Resorts has allowed me to do something rare: use music to tell an authentic story about a place, and watch that story reach people across the world who then book a flight and come experience it themselves,” he told Observer Online.
He continued, “That’s not marketing. That’s music doing what it’s always done — moving people. And when it moves them all the way to Antigua, that’s deeply satisfying.”
Based in South Florida, Causion has lived in the United States for many years, but visits Antigua regularly. Feels Like I’m Dreaming is his latest venture with Elite Island Resorts, following Antigua me Come From, Caribbean Vacation, Sunny Day and Tropical State of Mind.
Statistics from the Antigua Tourism Authority show that over 1.5 million foreigners vacationed in Antigua and Barbuda in 2025. In May, Colin James, chief executive officer of that organisation, reported that the country welcomed 110,832 stay-over visitors during the first quarter of 2026, with record arrivals in January, February and March.
Although soca is the dominant sound in Antigua, Causion (real name Gregory Bailey) was strongly influenced by the songs of Third World and Culture as a youth. He has toured Europe and the United States with Third World, for which Gregory played keyboards.
Causion is also Antigua’s official reggae ambassador. In 2024, he was awarded the Commander of The Most Precious Order of Princely Heritage (CH), the country’s fourth-highest honour.
