GraceKennedy brings Fraser-Pryce, GK One and Taste of Jamaica to Diaspora Conference

GraceKennedy (GK) will once again play a central role in strengthening the connection between Jamaica and its diaspora as a Legacy Partner of the upcoming 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, scheduled for June 14-18, 2026 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James.

As one of the conference’s legacy partners, GK will support several areas of the conference through its food and financial services businesses, while also facilitating the participation of Jamaican sprint icon and GraceKennedy Brand Ambassador, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Fraser-Pryce will be a featured speaker on a special panel discussion, where she will share insights from her remarkable journey and discuss the role of Jamaicans in inspiring excellence and creating impact at home and abroad.

“GraceKennedy has proudly supported the Jamaica Diaspora Conference since its inception because we recognise the tremendous contributions of Jamaicans living overseas,” said Frank James, Group Chief Executive Officer of GraceKennedy Limited. “We are excited to welcome delegates back to Jamaica and to continue strengthening the partnerships that contribute to our country’s growth and development. We are also especially pleased to facilitate Shelly-Ann’s participation in this year’s conference, as she embodies the excellence, resilience and global impact that Jamaicans – and GraceKennedy – are known for worldwide.”

Conference delegates will be able to experience a range of Grace Foods products through an interactive booth featuring product sampling and culinary demonstrations using Grace Green Seasoning, Grace Honey Jerk Sauce and Grace BBQ Sauce. GK Foods will also be represented in a panel discussion on “Advancing Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security through Diaspora Partnership” featuring David Neil Crum-Ewing, Operations Executive, GK Foods & Services Manufacturing Division. GK Foods spring water brand, Catherine’s Peak, will also be the exclusive water partner for this year’s event.

Meanwhile, the GraceKennedy Financial Group will showcase the GK One mobile wallet app at the conference. Through GK One, users, including members of the diaspora, can send and receive remittances, pay bills in Jamaica, purchase third-party motor vehicle insurance, apply for First Global Bank credit cards, and fund transactions using any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card. The app, which is complemented by the GK One Visa Prepaid Card, can be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted worldwide. Sign up requires only a Tax Registration Number (TRN) and a valid Jamaican government-issued photo ID. Delegates who do not currently have these will be able to access related services through the Government at Your Service booths.

GraceKennedy will also join fellow legacy partners, JN Group and VM Group, in hosting a special hospitality event for delegates on June 16, celebrating Jamaican culture through music and food.

The 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference is being hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade under the theme “Diaspora Partnerships: Rebuilding a More Resilient Jamaica” and will bring together Jamaicans from around the world to explore opportunities for investment, collaboration and national development.
