Skvnk Fest 2026 scorches!
It was a packed house, despite the threat of rain, for Skvnk Fest 2026 as patrons poured into the Cinema 2, New Kingston, venue on Sunday, June 7, for the car lifestyle event.
“The show was a very heartfelt one for me… The team and I are more than happy for the tremendous turnout and happy the patrons could have enjoyed the festival incident-free,” Nick Lue, event organiser, told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly Auto magazine.
Promised to be a new breed of car show, Skvnk Fest 2026 hit that target, but was able to dip into the nostalgia of Skvnk Nation events of old.
As attendees piled in, they were hit with a thoroughfare or vendors selling everything from the latest automotive gear to the ability to start their racing career as a go-karter. That initial hit was sprinkled with used modified examples and the current crop of new vehicles from the ATL Automotive Group. Once patrons turned the corner into the locale the received the full hit of automotive juices.
“I’ll be totally honest. Not one person had anything bad to say. Everyone enjoyed the moment,” Lue said.
And why wouldn’t they, as row after row of automotive perfection greeted them as far as the eye could see.
“Our only real issue was finding a place for all the cars to park. So many show cars, too small a space,” he said.

There was plenty for everyone as the cars on display blazed a wide path across multiple genres. Old, new, classic, stock, modified to the maximum, and off-road, it could be found. Even those preferring two wheels had plenty of visual action. If the cars weren’t distracting enough, the centre stage would erupt occasionally into motoring mayhem as drifters and bikers would show off their skills to the willing crowd.
In the event’s closing moments, Lue pulled the cover off his BMW Poizon to reveal to the multitudes its new status, to which the response was smartphone cameras galore.
“I’ve always liked the large camo style, so instead of the conventional army style we switched it up with the Skvnk lifestyle colours,” he said.
Wrapped in its new hues, Poizon has completed its transformation, which began on his
YouTube channel.
“We did the Carbon fibre bonnet and trunk, along with the full frame top mount turbo kit,” explained Lue.
With Skvnk Fest 2026 a success, Lue hasn’t considered making the event a more permanent fixture on the automotive events calendar. Instead, his team are trying to produce a more mobile version.
“There are thoughts of it, for sure, but nothing concrete, Skvnk Fest, be it annual or bi-annual. We’re working on a school tour. I want to get more involved in the development of youth and culture,” Lue shared.
