St Elizabeth man charged with sex with underage stepdaughter, possession of child porn
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A 29-year-old construction worker of Burnt Savannah District, St Elizabeth has been charged with several incidents of reported sexual misconduct involving his stepdaughter.
The man, whose identity is being withheld to protect the victim, faces five counts of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16, sexual touching of a child, possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography.
According to reports, the victim, a 15-year-old student from the parish, was living with her mother, siblings and the accused who is her stepfather. Between December 24, 2025, and June 7, 2026, the accused allegedly engaged in sexual activity with the minor on multiple occasions, knowing she was under 16.
During one of these incidents, he reportedly recorded the act using his phone and later sent the video to the victim’s phone. This video was seen and retrieved by the police.
The matter was thereafter reported to the police and a statement was subsequently recorded implicating the accused.
Following a targeted operation at his home, the accused was arrested. He was later interviewed and subsequently charged.
