Imjustagirl crushes field by 11¼ lengths for third-straight win in Pick3 Trophy
IMJUSTAGIRL stamped her class at Caymanas Park on Saturday, June 27, 2026, romping to a dominant 11¼-length victory in the $1.19-million Pick3 Trophy for her third win on the bounce.
The Jason DaCosta-trained filly, ridden by Robert Halledeen, handled the Restricted Stakes field for imported three-year-olds and upward (NW3), and native-bred three-year-olds and native-bred four-year-olds (NW4) over seven furlongs (1,400m) with ease, stopping the clock in 1:23.1. Splits: 23.1, 46.0, 1:10.2.
Breaking sharply, Imjustagirl shot to the lead after a couple of strides and set the terms down the backstretch ahead of Eye of the Tiger (Abigail Able), Any Means (Reyan Lewis), and Olivia D’Oro (Dane Dawkins). She kept a steady gallop around the track before Halledeen asked her for more rounding the half-mile (800m) turn.
Turning for home, she was already cruising. In deep stretch she turned up the pressure and drew off effortlessly under the wire. Any Means rallied for second, with Eye of the Tiger holding third.
The win underlined Imjustagirl’s upward trend and made it three straight for the DaCosta-Halledeen combination. She is a three-year-old American-bred filly by Girvin out of the Summer Front mare Summer In Midway.
