Kranium’s ‘We Can’ featuring Tory Lanez strikes gold in America
We Can, a song by dancehall artiste Kranium featuring Canadian singer/rapper Tory Lanez, was on Monday, June 29, certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales and streaming surpassing 500,000 units.
This is the second RIAA certification for Kranium. In September 2019, Nobody Has to Know achieved a similar certification.
We Can, is a co-production between Grammy winning producer Shama ‘Sak Pase’ Joseph and DJ/producer Marley Waters. Joseph is currently an executive at record label, Empire.
In a post on social media, Kranium wrote, “I walk the way I walk because the numbers reflect that! Another certified gold in America #history big up the supporters and all DJs and my brother @sakpase365 and @officialmarleywaters producers.”
Kranium has had better luck on the other side of the Atlantic. Over in the United Kingdom, he has four singles that were certified by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
My One, a collaboration with Wiley, Tory Lanez and Dappy, was certified silver in 2020, while We Can and Gal Policy, were both certified silver in 2023. Nobody Has to Know reaped gold in January of this year.
