A Table Set by Heineken: The Perfect Pairing for a Night of Culinary Excellence
The 27th staging of the Jamaica Observer Table Talk Food Awards, held at the East Lawn of King’s House, on Thursday, June 25, set the table for a celebration of Jamaica’s thriving culinary industry, where exceptional cuisine, thoughtful hospitality and great company came together beneath the evening sky. As a premium sponsor, Heineken invited guests to slow the pace, savour the moment and discover how a well-crafted brew can elevate every course.
Curated by Sora Japanese Sky Cuisine, the menu embraced Japanese inspired flavours with a contemporary twist. Guests moved seamlessly between the delicate Hotate and Ember rolls and the smoky Heineken Robata Chicken Karaage, before settling into the comforting richness of the Midnight Miso Beef and the vibrant freshness of the toro inspired tuna crisps. Each course revealed a different layer of flavour, while Heineken’s crisp finish refreshed the palate, allowing every ingredient to shine.
The evening celebrated the pleasure of gathering around remarkable food. Conversations lingered over beautifully plated dishes, glasses were raised to Jamaica’s gastronomic trailblazers, and every bite became another reason to stay just a little longer. For one memorable evening, King’s House became the city’s dining table, where craftsmanship on the plate found its perfect complement in an ice-cold Heineken.
