LAST year’s Jamaica St Leger and Derby winner, I Dream Again, heads a field of 13 set to contest this afternoon’s $1.25-million Donald Wehby Sr Memorial Trophy, the feature Overnight Allowance on a 10-race card at Caymanas Park.

The four-year-old bay colt by Soul Warrior looks the clear horse to beat in the five-furlong (1,000m) straight dash for three-year-olds and upward.

I Dream Again was a 6¾ lengths second to Linguist over this trip on May 16 and now drops into a race that, on paper and current form, appears tailor-made for him.

With his tactical speed and recent sharp effort he should be too good if he runs to form. Robert Halledeen will continue to ride for trainer Jason DaCosta.

Allegiance is the chief danger. The five-year-old was a good second behind Boss Man over seven furlongs (1,400m) on June 28. This is sharper than he wants but he has the speed to be there at the finish.

Miss MoneyPenny brings early zip. The speedy filly is expected to go to the front and could make them chase all the way.

Cookie Day N Night, Gallopin De Veloz, and Huntsman can be considered as earners in this race,

Cookie Day N Night is erratic but dangerous. He shows up every now and then with a big run and could get into the mix at odds. Gallopin De Veloz is an honest type who can run well without actually winning. Expect him in the place hunt. And Huntsman should run respectably and could fill out the trifecta.

Veteran Johncrowjeff has no winning chance on form but is seasoned enough to pick up a cheque if others falter while Bob The Builder needs everything to go right for a minor placing.

As for the others, Tapit Good has no business at this level, Brompton Boy looks outclassed, My Sunshine can be bypassed, Dream to Reality’s dreams will likely fade in this company, and Awesome Anthony has no realistic winning chance.
