On Miracle, her latest song, Shari Beckford reaches out to the despondent. Produced by Howard Keizs, the gospel track is scheduled for release in late July.

The South Florida-based singer’s first song for 2026, Miracle has an American country music flavour, a sound Beckford has favoured since childhood. Its message is strong on faith and resilience.

“Miracle was inspired by seasons in life when hope is all you have left. It’s a song about holding on through uncertainty, trusting God and believing that even when circumstances seem impossible, a breakthrough can still come,” she told Observer Online. “While it reflects personal emotions and experiences, I wrote it so anyone facing hardship can see themselves in the message.”

Gospel is the latest genre Beckford has ventured in since launching her recording career six years ago with I Will Not Break, a song produced by Dean Fraser. Other previous songs include Angel Or Demon, a country ballad that recalled a failed relationship and Drink If You Wanna, a dance track.

Beckford, who is from eastern St Andrew, is strongly influenced by American country acts such as Charley Pride, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, all of whom enjoyed success in the wider pop market. She hopes Miracle will also reach a broad audience.

“Music has always had the power to bring people together, regardless of genre. Miracle combines country storytelling with gospel, hope and inspiration, creating a sound that can resonate with listeners from many different backgrounds,” said Beckford.
