Yaksta and Bellwetha shock fans with ‘Farmer and The Banger’ collab

Yaksta has once again shaken up the entertainment space with a bold and controversial move.

The firebrand artiste, who recently sparked widespread debate on social media and within the music fraternity over his criticism of what he described as various negative practices in the reggae industry, has teamed up with rising dancehall act Bellwetha for their new single, Farmer and The Banger.

According to Bellwetha, the track is rooted in the themes of hustle, determination and hard work.

“We are just showcasing our creativity by merging two topics that the typical person would not envision in the same sentence. This proves my point that the song is really about hustling and hardwork. In anything you are doing in life you must put in the work,” said Bellwetha.

Bellwetha is a Spanish Town, St Catherine native who initially rose to prominence as a teenager under the moniker “Dadda” and has since transitioned to “Bellwetha” as an grown man while Yaksta is a St Mary native who rose to stardom in 2021 via his breakout single entitled Ambition, which celebrated the virtues of farming.

Their collaborative effort was initiated by the producers of the track, Bell Bell Entertainment and Copper Records.

Belweatha has also released a plethora of other singles of late including a whopping four music videos over the past two weeks all of which are currently making the rounds on social media and in the streets.

Bellwetha said his short term goal is to dominate the local dancehall space while his long term goal is to become a global star.

Bellwetha is currently promoting new singles such as Authentic, Million Dolla, God System, Pretty Gyal, Prove and his collaborative effort with Yaksta entitled Farmer And The Banger.
