Elegance Ballroom Experience to support JCF Convalescence Home
A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Elegance: The Ballroom Experience will benefit the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) Convalescence Home in Black River, St Elizabeth, allowing patrons to enjoy an evening of ballroom entertainment while supporting a worthy cause.
Set for Sunday from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, the event will combine classic music, elegant fashion and dancing with charitable giving.
Event promoter Isaiah Laing said supporting the JCF Convalescence Home is an important part of the event’s mission.
“We wanted Elegance to be more than just a great night out. The men and women of the Jamaica Constabulary Force dedicate their lives to serving and protecting us, and this is one way we can give back by supporting those who need care and rehabilitation. Entertainment has the power to make a difference, and we’re proud to use this platform to contribute to such a meaningful cause,” Laing said.
“Elegance is about celebrating life through music, dance and togetherness, but it’s also about giving back to the community.
We hope everyone leaves not only with wonderful memories, but also with the satisfaction of knowing they helped support an important institution that serves our country,” he continued.
The evening will feature timeless soul classics from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, creating the perfect soundtrack for ballroom enthusiasts and lovers of vintage music alike.
Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres and wine while dancing in an elegant atmosphere, with entertainment provided by DJ Krazy Kris, DJ Walton Fire, DJ Master Roji and DJ VJ Snow.
Adding to the excitement, organisers will award US$1,000 each to the Most Elegant Couple and Best Dancer, along with a romantic dinner for two courtesy of M10, bottles of wine and other prizes throughout the evening.
General admission is J$10,000, while VIP tickets are available for J$15,000. Tickets can be purchased online via Touchstone or at selected ticket outlets across Kingston.
