KINGSTON, Jamaica—A Kingston man has been charged in connection to the theft of a Toyota Fielder motor car from Cortina Avenue in Kingston 13 between Thursday, July 9, and Friday, July 10.

He has been identified as 37-year-old Oniel White of Tower Avenue in Olympic Way, Kingston 11.

White has been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and malicious injury to property in connection to the incident.
Reports are that between 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 9 and 2:00 am on Friday, July 10, a Toyota Fielder motor car was stolen from Cortina Avenue, Kingston 13.

The matter was reported to the police, and the vehicle was subsequently recovered during investigations.

Investigators continued to probe the incident, and on Sunday July 12, members of the St Andrew South Operational Support Team conducted an operation in which White was arrested.

He was subsequently interviewed in the presence of his attorney and was charged.

His court date is being finalised.
