Lady Da Flame heats up the summer
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Recording artiste Lady Da Flame is setting the tone for the season with the release of her latest single, Summer, now available on all major digital streaming platforms.
Produced by Rawborn Productions, the high-energy track fuses dancehall with island and reggaeton influences, driven by pulsating drums, booming basslines and an infectious rhythm that embodies the carefree spirit of summer.
Crafted with beach parties, festivals, road trips and island celebrations in mind, the song delivers an upbeat soundtrack for the season.
Lady Da Flame said the inspiration behind the record came from a desire to create a fun anthem that people could instantly connect with.
“My inspiration for the track was simple—we wanted a new fun song for the season, which is summer. I want fans to enjoy it and have fun. I think people will relate to the song and also enjoy the sick beat it’s on. Summer songs are important because they capture the mood and the vibes of the season,” she said.
Describing the musical direction of the single, the artiste noted that while the record incorporates island and reggaeton flavours, its foundation remains firmly rooted in dancehall.
“It has a dancehall feel with island and reggaeton vibes that all stem from dancehall,” she added.
She added that the song’s driving percussion and heavy basslines are designed to get listeners moving, while its overall energy evokes images of fast cars, endless sunshine, parties and adventurous island living.
The release comes on the heels of a productive period for the artiste, whose profile has continued to rise across the dancehall and reggae landscape.
Earlier this year, Lady Da Flame performed before thousands at a Mother’s Day concert at UBS Arena, sharing the stage with Beres Hammond, Stephanie Mills and Romain Virgo. The performance further showcased her commanding stage presence while introducing her music to an even wider audience.
She also paid tribute to mothers with the heartfelt single Mama, a release that resonated with fans and highlighted her versatility as both a vocalist and songwriter.
Her momentum continued with The Journey, a spiritually inspired EP produced by Rawborn Productions. The project features the tracks All Praises To The Most High, More Dan Prayer, and No One Like You (Remake), a collaboration with reggae singer Sanchez. Together, the songs reflect her personal growth and spiritual journey while delivering messages of faith, perseverance and hope.
Lady Da Flame also expanded her catalogue with the motivational single Mi Believe Inna Mi and Ropeen, a Lovers Rock collaboration with Richie Stephens. A promotional campaign surrounding The Journey, including an appearance on OnStage, further strengthened her visibility and cemented her place as one of dancehall and reggae’s emerging female talents.
With Summer now available worldwide, Lady Da Flame is hoping listeners will embrace the vibrant energy of the track as they make the most of the season.
“I just want everyone to enjoy themselves, have fun and make great memories every time they hear the song,” she said.
