Man arrested after firearm, ammo seized in Tivoli

KINGSTON, Jamaica—A man was arrested in connection to the seizure of a firearm along with several rounds of ammunition during a police peration on Shearer Drive in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14, on Saturday, July 18.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports indicate that at approximately 10:00 am, members of the National Strategic Anti-Gang Division conducted an operation at an abandoned house in the community.

During a search of the premises, the lawmen discovered a 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing six rounds of 9mm ammunition.
