FIWI Entertainment returns with bigger vision for fourth FIWI Fashion Show in Negril
KINGSTON, Jamaica — After a year’s absence, FIWI Entertainment is preparing to make its return to the runway with what its founders describe as the company’s most ambitious production yet.
The fourth staging of the FIWI Fashion Show is scheduled for December at the Kaiser Hotel and Resort in Negril, marking another milestone for the Jamaican company, which is celebrating five years since its establishment.
For co-founders Orville Murray, who is the chief executive officer, Shane Purrier, chief operating officer, and Jermaine Russell, director of events, the show represents much more than an evening of fashion. They see it as a platform dedicated to elevating Caribbean creatives while positioning regional fashion on the international stage.
Since launching in 2021, FIWI Entertainment has evolved from hosting a local runway production into building what the founders describe as a global platform for Caribbean talent.

“What began as a local initiative has evolved into a global platform,” the team explained. “Our mission has always been inspiring the possibilities, and that vision now extends beyond showcasing fashion to connecting Caribbean designers and models with international audiences.”
Although FIWI is not a modelling or talent agency, the company says its fashion show has become an important launchpad for creatives by giving designers and models greater visibility through professional production, marketing and promotion.
The organisation’s journey has not been without challenges.
Last year’s staging was postponed after Hurricane Melissa affected sections of western Jamaica, forcing organisers to delay the event. Rather than focusing solely on rescheduling the show, the team shifted its attention to relief efforts for communities impacted by the storm.

“That experience reinforced our commitment to our people,” Russell stated. “We didn’t just come back; we came back with a deeper sense of purpose.”
That renewed purpose is expected to shape this year’s production, with organisers promising a more immersive experience for patrons.
According to the team, the 2026 edition will feature enhanced production design, lighting and sound while blending traditional Caribbean fashion influences with contemporary and avant-garde streetwear.
“It is not just a fashion show,” Murray declared. “It is a high-energy artistic showcase.”
This year’s theme also centres on what FIWI describes as “global integration”.

International media representatives and influencers are expected to attend the event as organisers seek to expose Caribbean designers to wider markets while demonstrating that regional fashion can compete on the global luxury and retail stage.
For designers, innovation and business readiness are key considerations, while models are expected to bring personality and presence to the runway.
For those considering attending the event for the first time, the organisers have a simple invitation.
“If you want to see the future of Caribbean style, be there. This is a celebration of our culture, our talent and our resilience. It is an unforgettable night that blends high fashion, music and energy.”
With the fourth staging of the FIWI Fashion Show set for the Kaiser Hotel and Resort in Negril, the founders hope the event will once again celebrate the creativity and resilience of the Caribbean while providing a platform for the region’s designers and models to shine before a wider audience.
More than five years after the company was established, they believe this year’s show represents another step towards making FIWI Entertainment a recognised name in the global fashion industry.
