Jamaica’s most iconic music festival, Reggae Sumfest, took on a unique format for 2026 as titans Mavado and Vybz Kartel shared the stage at Plantation Cove for a once-in-a-generation, dancehall moment dubbed ‘A Taste of Sumfest’. The genius line-up was enough to draw thousands to the venue on Saturday, July 18 as the organisers and sponsors kept the spirit of the 33-year-old festival alive while supporting the rebuilding of western Jamaica in the wake of last year’s devastating Category 5 Hurricane Melissa.
