Body of missing 27-y-o man found on Robins Bay beach

ST MARY, Jamaica —The body of a 27-year-old man who was reported missing since July 21 was found on a section of the shoreline at Robin’s Bay Beach Thursday morning.

Police reports indicate that around 7:00 am a fisherman was walking along Robin’s Bay Beach in the vicinity of Green Castle when he saw a man lying on the beach unresponsive.

The police were summoned and the body was removed from the scene pending a post mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

According to residents, the man previously lived in the community but had relocated to Kingston. It is reported that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

The St Mary police are appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist in confirming the identity of the deceased, to contact them.
