Reggae Sumfest 2026 delivered a night for the dancehall history books on Saturday, July 18, as icons Vybz Kartel and Mavado shared the stage at A Taste of Reggae Sumfest: Gaza vs Gully, bringing two of the genre’s most influential catalogues together at Plantation Cove in St Ann.

For thousands of fans, the one-night staging was a celebration of an era that helped shape modern dancehall. Vybz Kartel and Mavado had the crowd singing along to hits spanning more than two decades, while a line-up featuring Queen Ifrica, Shawn Storm, Harry Toddler, Marcy Chin, Jamal, Ayetian, Young Wild Apache and Shauna Controlla showcased the breadth of the genre.

Beyond the performances, the festival grounds came alive with personalities, fashion and unmistakable Jamaican style. As Reggae Sumfest’s official beer partner, Red Stripe was in the mix as patrons and personalities turned out for one of summer’s most anticipated nights.
