Rvssian continues to rise on Billboard Latin charts
Jamaican producer Tarik “Rvssian” Johnston continues to make moves on the Billboard Latin charts with his latest entry PONGO, which features Rauw Alejandro and Wizkid.
On Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, PONGO bolts from #22 to #14 in its 9th week. This is Rvssian’s first entry on this particular Billboard chart.
However, on Latin Airplay, the song which peaked at #41 in May, steps up a notch from #47 to #46. This is his fifth entry on Latin Airplay, with Nostalgico being his highest peak at #9 in 2021.
PONGO re-enters Hot Latin Songs at #38 and becomes the eighth entry on the chart for the Head Concussion Records/Rich Immigrants boss. His highest peak on this chart came in 2017 with Kippy Kush, featuring Farruko, Nicki Minaj, Bad Bunny, and 21 Savage stalling at #5.
The song becomes Rvssian’s sixth entry on Latin Rhythm Airplay, cruising from #13 to #11 in its 16th week. Both Santa and Nostalgico are his biggest hits on this chart, with each peaking at #6.
Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) by Daddy Yankee and Shenseea, which rose to #1 three weeks ago on Latin Airplay, tumbles from #6 to #28.
Spin by American R&B singer Kevin Ross, which was produced by Jamaican producer Kheilstone, remains at #5 on Billboard’s Hot Adult R&B Airplay, while staying firm at #22 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Airplay chart.
Jamaican (Bam Bam), a reconstructed house/Afrobeats/dance version of Sister Nancy’s 1982 hit Bam Bam (credited to producers HUGEL and SOLTO) backtracks from #14 to #15 on Billboard’s Warm Global Dance Radio chart (it peaked at #4), while on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart it rises from #19 to #17 in its 24th week.
The song dances from #31 to #28 in its 17th week on Billboard’s Global Excluding US chart, and bullets from #63 to #53 on Billboard’s Global 200.
Still on Global 200, (When You Gonna) Give it Up to Me by Sean Paul and Keyshia Cole moves from #117 to #110. Sean Paul’s other entry, Cheap Thrills, with Sia, inches up from #139 to #138.
Sean Paul continues the double on Global Excluding US, with Cheap Thrills firm at #90 and (When You Gonna) Give it Up to Me inching up from #71 to #68.
Over on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Legend by Bob Marley and the Wailers remains at #1 for 340 non-consecutive weeks, while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy and Sean Paul’s The Trinity at #2 and #3 respectively.
Moving now to regional charts, multi-JUNO Award winner Exco Levi spends a third week at #1 on the Reggae North Canadian Reggae and Dancehall Top 20 chart with Student of a Broken Heart.
Reggae Music Nice by Legato, Rise Up by Belinda Brady, Ten Foot Wall by Tasha T, and Thinking About You by Shenseea retain their positions from last week, #2, #3, #4 and #5, respectively.
Tonya P’s Just Try moves up two places to #7, while Fire Furnace by Skystar enters at #20.
Wet Sugar by Richie Stephens spends a second week at #1 on the New York Reggae chart, with Goddess by Protoje and Shenseea stepping from #10 to #5.
Di Real Rock by Macka B hits a new peak at #10, while Alone Again Naturally by Sleepy Wonder steps in at #28.
Lift Me Higher by Terry Linen is new at #29 and God Can Make Something Out of Nothing by Kenne Blessin opening at #30.
Butterflies by Buju Banton clocks a sixth week at #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart, while Riding Through the Storm by Wayne Stoddart rising to #5.
Police and Thieves by Lloyd Parks moves from #12 to #10, while Why Me Lord by Carlene Davis and Ken Boothe debuting at #19.
Also new are Easy to Love by Shuga (#23) and Deliver Me by Derrick Scott (#25).
