19-y-o beats thousands of predictions to win a year of free Domino’s pizza
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Shane Cunningham had never bought a Domino’s pizza before this year. By the time the 2026 FIFA Tournament wrapped, he’d topped an island-wide leaderboard of thousands to walk away with the campaign’s grand prize: one full year of free Domino’s pizza.
The 19-year-old signed up for scorebigja.com, Domino’s Jamaica’s interactive score-and-prediction platform, without much expectation beyond following the tournament with friends. What he brought instead was a method. Backing France from the group stage onward, Cunningham built each prediction from research rather than instinct.
“I look at those teams’ last games and see how they play, look at the chances that they miss and the chances that they get,” he said, describing how he’d break down recent form before locking in a pick. He played the same way through the group stage, the knockout rounds and the final tally, never switching approach, never chasing a hot streak.
Domino’s Pizza Jamaica: Score Big Campaign Ambassador, Wayne Mitchell, congratulates Shane Cunningham, winner of the Score Big grand prize, an ambush during the official reveal at Domino’s Sovereign North.
That approach is what set him apart, according to Score Big Campaign Ambassador Wayne Mitchell, who ran his own predictions throughout the tournament with a rotating crew of friends and no shortage of trial and error.
“There was no method to it because the scores were so hard to predict,” Mitchell admitted during the prize handover at Domino’s Sovereign North, describing a strategy that swung from friend group chats to artificial intelligence (AI) tools and back again with little success. Watching Cunningham’s run hold up round after round, he didn’t hide his admiration. “For him to be so consistent, win the group stage, then come back and win the overall leaderboard is not a normal thing.”
Score Big Jamaica pulled in over 5,000 registered users and more than 200,000 predictions over the course of the tournament, with daily rotating deals, free wings, cinnamon bread twists, discounts off orders, keeping fans engaged between matches.
“The goal was to reintroduce Domino’s Jamaica as the number one pizza company in Jamaica,” said Domino’s Jamaica Brand Manager, Antonnette Walker, pointing to a campaign built on football and pizza in equal measure, and the sense of community both created. “It’s about enjoying and making memorable moments as you go through your daily doings.”
As for what comes next, Cunningham already knows exactly how he’s spending his 52 weeks of free pizza. His order: large pineapple and pepperoni pizza. Every time.
With Score Big now in the books, Domino’s Jamaica says the energy isn’t slowing down.
“Pushing forward, just expect energy, vibes, family time, free things, and more pizza,” Walker added, a signal that this year’s grand prize handover is a launchpad for what’s next, not a finish line.
