Emerging dancehall artiste Jamarii is enjoying the success of his latest single, No Days Off, a collaboration with dancehall star 450 that has been gaining significant traction across Jamaica and international markets since its release on July 10.

Produced by Weekday, the track has resonated with listeners well beyond the island, charting in the United Kingdom, the United States, Jamaica, Japan, Sierra Leone, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Benin, Malawi, Botswana, Turks and Caicos, Bermuda, and Zambia. Its growing international reach has helped introduce Jamarii’s music to new audiences while further cementing 450’s global appeal.

For Jamarii, whose given name is Jamarley Pusey, collaborating with one of dancehall’s most-sought-after artistes was both a memorable and inspiring experience.

“Working with 450 was a rare feeling and experience for me because he’s a much bigger artiste than I am, but he had absolutely no ego. Everything was smooth and it was just good vibes and positive energy. From that came the confidence that led to this groundbreaking hit,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

The Grant’s Pen, Kingston 8, native said the song represents more than a successful collaboration. He views it as an opportunity to introduce his artistry to a wider audience and establish himself as a serious contender in the dancehall space.

“My hope for this song is to shine a light on my talent by using 450’s influence to capture the attention of his fan base and prove that I’m worth listening to. With that exposure I hope to break into the scene and continue releasing good music,” he said.

Jamarii’s journey into music began long before stepping into a recording studio. Inspired by poetry in his younger years, he eventually developed a passion for deejaying, while growing up in Grant’s Pen — a community that has produced several well-known entertainers — further fuelled his ambitions of pursuing music professionally.

The positive reception to No Days Off has also validated the effort invested in the project, with listeners embracing the chemistry between both artistes and helping the single gain momentum across multiple territories. The widespread support has positioned Jamarii to build on the song’s success as he continues expanding his catalogue.
