BEAUTY RADAR: Soigneé x The Shana Cole Collection
For Jamaican-born entrepreneur Sushana Cole, beauty was never an afterthought, it was the beginning.
While her online fashion boutique was busy racking up the numbers, Cole admits that she had taken her eye off the very product line that started it all: make-up. But her customers weren’t so quick to move on. Since launching the brand in 2012, devotees have continued to shop the collection, even in the absence of a hard sell.
“The girls that have been using my products from I was based in Jamaica continued to shop even when I wasn’t promoting,” says Cole.
And perhaps that was all the proof she needed. The products had already earned their place in make-up bags; they simply needed their moment back on the radar. Now, armed with fresh imagery and a renewed focus on the beauty side of the business, Cole is back in her make-up ‘bag’, ready to give the products that started her journey the spotlight they deserve.
