Vanessa Bling to bring the heat to ‘Sophisticated’ Summer-End Beach Party

ST ANN, Jamaica — Dancehall star Vanessa Bling is ready to turn up the temperature at Plantation Cove when she headlines Sophisticated: The Summer End Beach Party on Saturday, August 29.

The dancehall star will lead an entertainment line-up featuring Trippple X, Bishop Escobar and Illusion Sound.

Presented by Midas Entertainment and 8 Rivaz Ultra Lounge, the event will transform the St Ann venue into a beachside celebration of music, fashion and summertime energy.

Running from 4:00pm to 10:00 pm, Sophisticated will deliver two distinct moods in one experience. Patrons can expect a stylish, laid-back atmosphere before sunset, followed by a high-energy dancehall takeover after dark.

Mixed drinks will be included with admission from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, giving early arrivals another reason to settle in before the party kicks into full gear.

For Vanessa Bling, the event offers a chance to reconnect with her supporters and help them close the season on a high.

“I just want all the ladies—and everybody else—to come out, dress up, bring the energy and enjoy the last Saturday of summer with me,” she said. “We affi make it a memorable one. Plantation Cove is going to be pure vibes, and I’m coming to give the people a performance they won’t forget,” she said.

Known for fan favourites such as “Independent Ladies,” “One Man,” “Everything Fi Hold Him” and “Future Guaranteed,” Vanessa Bling is expected to bring her signature confidence, style and commanding stage presence to Jamaica’s north coast.

That mix of laid-back luxury and late-night intensity is central to the event’s identity, according to Stefan Ebanks, head of business development and strategic partnerships at Midas Entertainment.

“The Sophisticated experience is built around the natural rhythm of the evening,” Ebanks said. “Before sunset, patrons can settle into the setting, enjoy the music and make the most of the hospitality. After dark, the energy rises and the event becomes a full dancehall experience. That transition is what gives Sophisticated its identity.”

Adding to the momentum, Sophisticated has been officially endorsed as a lead-up event to Dream Weekend 2027, further strengthening its position on Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.

The party will also launch Midas Entertainment’s Summer Finale Weekend, which continues at Plantation Cove on Sunday, August 30, with ENCORE LIVE: Culture Rising. That concert will feature reggae firebrand Capleton, inspirational hitmaker Nesbeth and acclaimed saxophonist Dean Fraser.
