Ricco Records releases new dancehall single ‘Mind Games’ featuring Lavisch
Music label Ricco Records, led by producer Rick Foster otherwise known as Ricco Diplomats, has released Mind Games, a new dancehall single from emerging singer and songwriter Lavisch on the Mercy Lap Rhythm.
The release brings together Ricco Records, Emoji Records, Black Satin Music and Team Upgrade Music, with Team Upgrade creating the rhythm’s infectious instrumental.
Dancehall artiste Valiant is also among the acts featured on the Mercy Lap Rhythm, further strengthening the project’s appeal.
As the featured recording artiste, Lavisch brings a distinctive musical journey to the Mercy Lap Rhythm project.
Born Brittney Marshall on November 5, 1996, Lavisch grew up in Waterhouse, Kingston, and developed a passion for music from an early age, drawing inspiration from reggae and dancehall. A former Kingston Technical High School student, she began performing at just 10 years old and has built a reputation for her melodic, conscious and relatable “message music.”
Lavisch first gained attention with Good Friends Hard to Find, produced by Ugandan producer Kaz, before working with European production team Jugglers Records on Irresponsible and its official music video. Her catalogue also includes Dealings, Burn and Let Them Change.
For Ricco Diplomats, Mind Games is another step in a journey that has taken him from promotions into recording and music production.
A member of Valiant’s team, Ricco grew up in Duppy Gully/Rocky Valley, St Andrew, attended St Andrew Technical High School, and was involved with Gold Plaque Entertainment alongside Ricardo “Shrimpy” Meikle in 2017. He later developed his production work at Core Upgrade Studio in Stony Hill.
With Lavisch bringing her distinctive voice and Ricco Records delivering the production, Mind Games is expected to resonate with dancehall audiences through its blend of melody, attitude and energetic production.
Mind Games is now available for streaming and download. Produced by Ricco Records and powered by the Mercy Lap Rhythm, the single showcases Lavisch’s distinctive vocal style while highlighting the collaborative efforts of the producers behind the project.
