Jamaica’s Lloyd Barker to be inducted in CF Montreal Wall of Fame
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican-born and former Harbour View FC player Lloyd Barker will be inducted into the Wall of Fame of Canadian club CF Montreal on Saturday.
Barker, along with four other former Montreal Impact players will be inducted during the half-time break when Montreal play LA Galaxy. The club has changed its name from Montreal Impact to CF Montreal.
Barker, who grew up in Harbour View, propelled Montreal Impact to two titles in 1994 and 2004 along with three consecutive regular season titles in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
Barker played alongside Altimont Butler, Walter Boyd, Onandi Lowe, Ricardo Gardner, Milton Griffiths, Anthony McCreath, Andrew Hines and Robert Hall in what was probably Harbour View’s best-ever team in 1995 and 1996.
