KINGSTON, Jamaica — As St George’s College celebrates the 26th staging of the institution’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony, members of the 1984 Triple Crown champions are set to participate in the celebratory occasion.

They will be led by Andrew Price, the school’s new head coach and technical director, who was also a member of the champions decades ago.

Coach Price will be joined by some of the champion team members who will receive special recognition awards at the 2026 St George’s College Hall of Fame presentation on November 1 at the Terra Nova Hotel for their stellar performance in winning the Manning Cup, Walker Cup and Oliver Shield in 1984.

The athletes will share the spotlight on November 1 with retired St George’s coach and STGC Hall of Famer Neville “Bertis” Bell, who coached the 2011 Triple Crown champions as well as members of the 1986 Sunlight Cup cricket champion team.

Also to be honoured with a special recognition award at the Hall of Fame event will be former athletic all-rounder Eric Barrett, all of whom have been examples of the best St George’s has had to offer in the area of sport.

“At the Hall of Fame function, four alumni will be inducted as Georgian ‘Knights’ who have demonstrated the Jesuit principles of ‘men who care’ in their professional lives and community engagements after leaving the college,” said Wayne Wray, chairman of the Hall of Fame selection committee.

The Hall of Famers for this year are: Donovan Chen See (Class of 1976); Dr Francis Joseph Barnett — posthumous — (Class of 1966); Ian Wong (Class of 1968) and Frank ‘Frankie’ Lewis (Class of 1951).

According to Wray, the objective of the Hall of Fame event is to provide an opportunity for the old boys to inspire and support the current students and focus on the present and future needs of the college.
