48-hour curfew extended in sections of St Mary
ST MARY, Jamaica — The 48-hour curfew that has been imposed in sections of Islington, St Mary has been extended.
The curfew will continue from 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 16, and remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Friday, September 18.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
NORTH: From the Baccasswood community in the vicinity of the Zion Hill main road, extending east through a vegetated section of the Strawberry Field community.
EAST: From a vegetated section of the Strawberry Fields community, extending south through a vegetated section of the Rosend community.
SOUTH: From a vegetated section of the Rosend community, extending west along the Rosend main road and continuing towards the White Hall main road.
WEST: From the White Hall main road in the vicinity of the entrance to the Islington community, extending north to the back entrance of the Baccasswood community in the vicinity of the Zion Hill main road.
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
