Fiery roadblock on Red Hills Road as residents protest fatal police shooting

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Sections of Red Hills Road in St Andrew have been blocked by residents protesting a fatal shooting by cops in the area, Observer Online understands.

Police confirmed the shooting and the protest, which took place in the St Andrew North Police Division Wednesday morning, but did not provide details.

Lawmen are currently on the scene of the protest along with several residents.

Videos shared on social media by residents show shopping carts, metal tables, garbage containers, and burning debris scattered in the roadway near PriceSmart and KFC.
