Sibling duo Teasea and Duane Bennett’s Rêve Jewellery brought a little nature to New York Fashion Week on Thursday, September 10, with Reign of the Earth, its SS27 collection unveiled at the Caribbean Fashion Collective’s (CFC) presentation in collaboration with the Meatpacking District on Little West 12th Street.

Designed by Duane, the collection brings an earthy mix of locally grown and harvested natural beads, driftwood, turquoise stones and non-precious metals including copper and brass, finished with touches of 24-karat gold.

Already catching eyes at Harper’s Bazaar, The Impression and Elle, Reign of the Earth was created with Story & Myth and local artist Jeff Menzies Studio.

Rêve Jewellery presents Reign of The Earth, a Caribbean SS27 collection transforming nature, resilience and renewal into wearable art.

Inspired by Jamaica’s landscape and the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, indigenous Lignum Vitae, Job’s Tears, “John Crow” beads, reclaimed driftwood and semi-precious stones are handcrafted using traditional goldsmithing and beading techniques into sculptural jewellery and headdresses. A portion of proceeds will benefit Jamaican communities still impacted by Hurricane Melissa through the Rêve Foundation.
