Dancehall acts Sean Paul and Elephant Man will share stage with hip-hop artiste Rick Ross as the headlining acts for the 7th annual Beer B Que in Lauderhill.

The event, which has grown into a music festival, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 14 at Central Broward Regional Park.

Yolan Todd, chief of staff of the City of Lauderhill told Observer Online on Monday that the event’s main objectives include bringing the community together to celebrate food, music and culture.

“This is the first time we have had the pleasure of having Elephant Man and Sean Paul at an event in the City of Lauderhill. The concept is to bring the community together for a vibrant celebration of food, music and culture,” Todd shared.

“The festival combines food, live entertainment, local vendors, and engaging activities at the Central Broward Regional Park. The event is designed to showcase Lauderhill as a destination for quality entertainment while supporting local businesses, encouraging community engagement, and providing residents and visitors with a safe and memorable experience,” she continued.

Todd noted that the event started as a block party on 38th Avenue and has since grown into an outdoor concert celebrating the culture of Lauderhill.

“Beer-B-Que became such a sought-out event by our community members that we needed to move the fun to a larger location. Leading us to taking our biggest leap yet – moving to Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium with a headline-driven lineup of super star artists. This is a testament to how much our residents have embraced this event and helped it grow over the past seven years,” she said.

Since its first staging, the event has grown from a community-focused food and entertainment event into one of Lauderhill’s signature cultural experiences.

“Over the years, the festival has expanded its entertainment offerings, culinary selections, vendor participation, production quality, and overall guest experience,” said Todd.  “This year’s festival will showcase the very best of Lauderhill, featuring outstanding local restaurants and food trucks, unique craft vendors and exciting live entertainment—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Central Broward Regional Park, one of our community’s true jewels.”

She stressed that Beer B Que targets every demographic.

“We’re excited to welcome residents from Lauderhill including the Jamaican diaspora and our surrounding South Florida communities to come out and participate in all that Beer-B-Que has to offer. Come out with your family for a fun filled night of music, food and beer,” Todd said.
