Dinner @ OMNIA SKY LOUNGE

Dinner @ OMNIA SKY LOUNGE

Nestled atop Parkway Plaza in Ocho Rios, Omnia Sky Lounge has quickly become more than just a dining spot — it’s the embodiment of Jamaican flavour, international influences, and vibrant nightlife. Since its grand opening in April 2024, this rooftop haven has been captivating locals and tourists alike with its unique blend of great food, lively music, and inviting ambience.

For owner Doneisha Johnson, the journey to creating Omnia Sky Lounge is rooted in her travels, taking cues from stunning rooftop lounges in Indonesia and Los Angeles. Her previous venture, a Loud Fashion store in Ocho Rios, serendipitously provided the perfect platform — the rooftop space above the store — to birth a new concept. She envisioned a place that brought together food, music, ambience, and entertainment in a seamless, memorable offering.

“It was about creating something different. A place where people don’t just come to eat, but to immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience,” Johnson said.

Omnia Sky Lounge embraces the tagline ‘Dinner With a Vibe,’ aiming to transcend the typical dining experience. Whether guests come for a celebratory occasion, a casual night out, or an exclusive event, the lounge promises an atmosphere that lingers in memory long after the night ends.

The concept is clear and intentional — a fusion where the essence of Caribbean cuisine meets international flair, showcased in a setting alive with music, thoughtfully crafted cocktails, and a welcoming environment.

The menu showcases contemporary Caribbean dishes infused with Jamaican flavours — seafood, chicken, pork, curry goat, and pastas — all prepared with Omnia’s distinctive twist. Alongside enticing bites is an impressive beverage selection featuring signature cocktails, premium spirits, wines, Champagne, and bottle service.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, cementing Omnia as a destination for locals and visitors, with the lounge becoming a favoured spot for special occasions like birthdays, weddings, corporate events, and family reunions.

“Seeing customers return and recommending us has been extremely rewarding. Sometimes I stand back and remember when Omnia was simply an idea in my head. Seeing people choose us for something as important as their wedding makes the challenges of entrepreneurship feel worthwhile,” Johnson expressed.

Johnson has ambitious plans for Omnia’s growth, aiming to enhance the existing space with an additional level and dedicated event areas. An exciting new concept centred on regulated cannabis is also under consideration, pending licensing and approvals.

“Our plans include adding another upper level above the kitchen area and two dedicated event spaces at the rear of the property. The goal is to continue developing Omnia into a complete dining, entertainment, events, and lifestyle destination. Long term, I definitely see the Omnia brand expanding beyond Ocho Rios,” Johnson added.

Johnson also expressed gratitude to her loyal customers, dedicated staff and excitement for the future.

“We’re proud of what we’ve built, excited about what’s ahead, and still building. My vision is for Omnia Sky Lounge to become a must-visit destination when people come to Ocho Rios and Jamaica,” Johnson concluded.
