Minister Blessed launching third EP

…event to raise funds for family health care

GOSPEL recording artiste Minister Blessed is gearing up to launch his third EP titled I Can Do All Things.

It is the follow up to the Sterling Gospel Music Awards-nominated EP I Did it Anyway, which was released in 2024. To date, Minister Blessed has released four full length studio albums. On I Can Do All Things, Minister Blessed said the focus is slightly shifted to dancehall-based songs, compared to the multiple genres that were explored on his previous EP.

“My previously nominated body of work I Did It Anyway delved into exploring multiple genres within gospel such as dancehall, reggae, and traditional worship sounds. The approach to this latest body of work is completely different, as my focus here is strictly dancehall-based, so the songs are harder-hitting and highly energetic.

From a growth point of view, I am much more fearless and bold in delivering hard-hitting Bible-based lyrics while also making way for my comical side to come to the forefront so it’s an interesting balance. There is one song where I act as the voice of God seriously calling sinners to repentance and for everyone to Respect the Name (Jesus).

On the other hand, I have a song called Laughter, which explores different scenarios whereas God’s people we can just sit and laugh at certain situations from in the Bible as well as current events,” he said.

The project, according to Minister Blessed, took 18 months to complete, beginning with the first song that was recorded in February 2025 and the last song recorded in June of this year. “Admittedly, I didn’t set out to work on a project from the start, but rather just focused on doing singles and to keep recording.

However, once I had voiced three or four songs it felt natural to evolve into an EP, which I envisioned could be completed with another few songs,” Minister Blessed told the Jamaica Observer on Thursday. Minister Blessed spoke about the themes that he explored on I Can Do All Things.

“There is a plethora of topics covered on this EP, including holiness, reverence, spiritual warfare, confidence, self-esteem, motivation, loyalty, laughter, fun, fellowship, and praise. The first single, Fun Inna Di Son, was released in the summer of 2025. The response to this song was really positive and it helped to pave the way for me to make my debut performance at an event dubbed Gospel Heatwave held in London, England.,” she shared.

He continued: “This year I released another single Operation Consecration in the Easter season, which felt like the perfect time to make a clarion call for believers to return to the altar and surrender fully to God.” The artiste noted that he held off releasing another single until the release of the EP.

“There was an initial plan to either release another single or the full project during the summer, but based on varying factors and following God’s leading, I decided to wait for my birthday for the next release which will be the full project,” he said.

The launch of the EP will take place on Friday, October 23, at Prayz House at Sunshine Plaza Balcony at 137 Maxfield Avenue in Half-Way-Tree. The debut will also coincide with Minister Blessed’s birthday celebration.

It promises to be an unforgettable night of games, fun, fellowship, music, and live performances Gospel artiste Goddy Goddy, Mighty Mic, Nadine Marie, and Minister Blessed himself are among the acts scheduled to perform, with music by DJ Marshy Redz.

Said Minister Blessed: “Up to the end of August the plan was to simply release the project online, but I have partnered with Marshy Redz and the Prayz House team to do a physical event.

The main goal is to help raise funds for members of my family who have been experiencing significant health challenges.

Outside of that, as the EP release coincides with my birthday, it felt like a good opportunity to have a celebratory type of event with fans, f riends, and well-wishers. The event also marks the return of Prayz House, which was on pause for a little while.”

Among the producers who contributed to the EP are Newlyfe Records from the United Kingdom, DaJourney who is based in Canada, Yagga Muzik Production, Lazaraus Productions, and Gospelix Records. Minister Blessed, who migrated from Jamaica nine years ago, currently resides in Manchester, England.

He worships on Sundays at the Lighthouse Church with his wife and three children.
