Yaksta, Bellwetha drop visuals for “Farmer and The Banger”

KINGSTON, Jamaica —  Recording artistes Yaksta and Bellwetha have released the visuals for their collaborative effort entitled “The Farmer and The Banger” causing widespread backlash on social media.

The controversial single has been making the rounds on social media and is raising eyebrows due to the subject matter, especially considering the fact that Yaksta is of the Rastafarian faith. However, according to Bellwetha the single is just artistic expression.

“As musicians we mirror what is happening in society. We are the reporters of the street and as such we use lyrics to relay what is prevalent in our culture. Di song tuff but me did expect some people fi seh good and some people fi seh bad but that is life in general still. All me know di street a tek on to it fast,” stated Bellwetha.

According to several musical pundits it will be quite interesting to see how Yaksta’s firebrand fanbase reacts to this single considering the fact that he has been very vocal about his stance on what he deems to be immoral activities within our society. However, according to one of the producers of the track, both artistes understand that criticism is a natural part of the entertainment space.

“Di man dem sing dem song and dem know seh a bad song and a reality dem a talk bout suh me nuh feel like dem thin-skinned about nothing. It was just a vibe in the studio and that a di energy wheh di riddim give dem and it was executed to perfection” stated Bell Bell of Bell Bell Entertainment.

This single, which was produced by Bell Bell Entertainment and Cooper Records has been steadily climbing the social media ladder as well as the street network. The visuals was released on October 5, 2026 and has been racking up streams on all major digital platforms.

At present both Yaksta and Bellwetha have been busy promoting their collaborative effort as well as working on new content daily with a plethora of producers including Cooper Records and Bell Bell Entertainment.
