Elephant Man promises non-stop dancing at Lauderhill’s Beer B Que
With more than 25 years in music, dancehall artiste Elephant Man remains one of the genre’s biggest names as it relates to dancing and feel-good music.
From his days as a member of the Scare Dem Crew in the late 1990s, and then going solo, Elephant Man has delivered hit after hit.
Among his more popular dancing songs are the Billboard-charting hits Nuh Linga, Pon De River, Willie Bounce and the Kat Deluna collaboration Whine Up.
After signing with Bad Boy Records, which released his major label debut, the Grammy-nominated Let’s Get Physical, Elephant Man collaborated with a number of top acts including Wyclef Jean, Chris Brown, Lil Jon, Mya, Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Mario Winans, among others.
Although he scored a popular trending song earlier this year with Pretty Little Baby, it’s his catalogue of dance-inspired songs that have kept his fans coming out to see him at shows.
One event that he is excited about is the forthcoming 7th annual Beer B Que event, which is scheduled for November 14 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill.
Elephant Man will share the stage with hip-hop star Rick Ross and Sean Paul.
On Monday, he told Observer Online that he is looking forward to performing at the event.
“It’s one of the greatest feelings and vibes just being around the people. Doing the show in Lauderhill is going to be crazy. The fact that the residents of Lauderhill are hosting a show with Elephant Man is going to be amazing. Everyone should come out with their dancing shoes on for hits after hits and non-stop dancing,” the self-styled Energy God promised.
Yolan Todd, chief of staff of the City of Lauderhill, previously told Observer Online that the event’s main objectives include bringing the community together to celebrate food, music and culture.
“This is the first time we have had the pleasure of having Elephant Man and Sean Paul at an event in the City of Lauderhill. The concept is to bring the community together for a vibrant celebration of food, music and culture. The festival combines food, live entertainment, local vendors, and engaging activities at the Central Broward Regional Park. The event is designed to showcase Lauderhill as a destination for quality entertainment while supporting local businesses, encouraging community engagement and providing residents and visitors with a safe and memorable experience,” Todd explained.
Since its first staging, the event has grown from a community-focused food and entertainment event into one of Lauderhill’s signature cultural experiences.
“This year’s festival will showcase the very best of Lauderhill, featuring outstanding local restaurants and food trucks, unique craft vendors and exciting live entertainment—all set against the beautiful backdrop of Central Broward Regional Park, one of our community’s true jewels,” said Todd.
