Oraine Freestyle Adventures surpasses 30 million views, eyes global expansion
If you have attended any major festival, concert, or party in Jamaica or the region, chances are you have spotted Oraine Freestyle Adventures capturing the excitement for his YouTube channel.
From high-energy dancehall performances to some of the most anticipated events on the entertainment calendar, the Jamaican-born content creator has built a digital platform that has amassed more than 30 million views and 91,000 subscribers since its inception in 2023.
For Oraine Dixon, the man behind the increasingly popular channel, the journey has been one of experimentation, persistence and a passion for Jamaican entertainment.
Operating out of New York City, Dixon covers major events across the tri-state area, Jamaica, and other destinations, with his content reaching viewers in scores of countries, among them England, Canada, Belgium, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Japan, Germany, and several Caribbean territories.

Interestingly, the channel was not initially intended to focus on entertainment.
“When I started in 2023 it was actually a cooking channel. I wasn’t sure what I really wanted to do, hence the reason I gave it the name Oraine Freestyle Adventures. The numbers on the cooking videos weren’t what I was looking for, so I tried travel vlogs, but those weren’t connecting either. I then tried entertainment, and the rest is history,” Dixon said.
That transition proved to be a turning point, with his coverage of concerts, parties, and festivals attracting increasing attention from viewers eager to experience events through his lens.
Among the major Jamaican events he has documented are Greatness Weekend, Best Weekend Ever, and Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street concert.
His international portfolio includes Vybz Kartel’s performances at Barclays Center in New York, Bounty Killer’s return to the same venue, and Masicka’s Barclays Center concert.
Other events include Sunch NYC, Rise & Toast Brunch, Resurrection on the Green, Milk and Honey, and Daybreak.
For Dixon, the channel represents more than an opportunity to capture memorable moments. It is also a platform through which he can promote Jamaica’s entertainment industry to international audiences.
“I love entertainment, and I love Jamaica, so it brings me joy to share our culture with the world,” he said.
One of the most memorable moments in his journey came when dancehall veteran Bounty Killer offered him encouragement at a time when his channel had just 200 subscribers.
“Bounty Killer gave me my first endorsement when I was just at 200 subscribers. He gave me an intro and said, ‘Gwaan a road, youth!’ ” he recalled.
The gesture provided early encouragement as Dixon worked to establish himself in the competitive digital entertainment space.
Since then he has witnessed, at first hand, how online content can influence travel decisions and contribute to Jamaica’s entertainment tourism sector.
He pointed to his coverage of Best Weekend Ever, which he documented for three consecutive years, as an example of the impact his platform has had beyond social media engagement.
“A lot of patrons who fly to Jamaica for that event would reach out to let me know they learnt about it by watching my channel. So right there and then, by them flying to Jamaica, that’s revenue for Jamaica,” he explained.
Originally from Old Harbour, St Catherine, Dixon attended Old Harbour High School and later lived in Spanish Town before migrating to the United States approximately 15 years ago.
Despite residing overseas, he remains committed to supporting the island’s entertainment industry.
“I live in the USA, but Jamaica will always be home. So anything to boost Jamaica I will do it,” he added.
His growing popularity has also brought increased demand for his services, prompting him to consider expanding his operations.
“I don’t have any team members yet, but I’m considering building a team, because for every booking I have I get about three other people who need that same date, and it’s just me,” he shared.
Having already travelled to several states across the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and Jamaica to document events, Dixon is now setting his sights on Europe.
He revealed that he has received booking requests from England and other European destinations but has yet to pursue those opportunities, citing his apprehension about long-distance flights.
“My long-term goal is to travel the world, as I’m already doing. I get bookings from England and Europe, but I haven’t gone yet. I need to build the courage to do long flights,” he said.
With an expanding subscriber base and growing international interest, Dixon is optimistic about taking Oraine Freestyle Adventures to new heights.
