Mystic Marley drops new single In Love

Artiste Mystic Marley returns with her latest single, In Love, exploring the complexities of romantic relationships through a sound that blends her Jamaican roots with contemporary R&B, pop, and hip hop influences.

The single, released Friday, October 30, captures the emotional intensity and contradictions of love, drawing on the vulnerability and passion that shape her songwriting.

The daughter of nine-time Grammy Award winner Stephen Marley, and granddaughter of reggae icon Bob Marley, Mystic channels the highs, lows, and magnetic pull of human connection into the new release.

“I’ve chosen to put out In Love now because it’s a song that I am genuinely passionate about,” Mystic said. “I felt connected to it and just fell in love with it when it was completed, and the process was a vibe, as always.”

At its heart, In Love examines the complicated dynamics of relationships, particularly the feelings that can draw people back to one another even when things become difficult.

That willingness to embrace vulnerability reflects Mystic’s approach to music and self-expression. While her Jamaican roots are grounded in reggae and dancehall, her sound also draws on R&B, pop and hip hop, allowing her to explore different influences while continuing to develop her identity as an artiste.

“I’ve been working on my sound and experimenting with different vibes and creating with different people, including Yo Christon as producer and my co-writer Ayaana Nash, so I think it’s a good place to pick up,” she said.

Raised between Miami and Los Angeles, Mystic grew up surrounded by music, accompanying her father on tour, and spending time in the studio as he worked on his recordings. Those experiences helped shape her relationship with music, while her own creative journey has encouraged her to embrace experimentation and personal growth.

“I would enjoy it if people were open to things not always looking and being the same,” she said. “I’m a very open person. I like to learn and I like to grow, and I do that through experience, through trial, and through error.”

Mystic’s recent musical credits include a soulful rendition of her grandfather’s
Misty Morning for the Grammy-winning compilation Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired by the Film, on which herfather served as executive producer. She has also opened for Stephen Marley on tour and performed at Kaya Fest.

With In Love, Mystic invites listeners into a more personal side of her artistry, offering a candid exploration of the emotions that make relationships both complicated and compelling.

“I hope everyone enjoys the music and everyone streams,” she said. “Big up yourselves.”

In Love is available on all major streaming platforms since its release.
