Sita Lyrical has high hopes for Unstoppable

In an era in which a song can blow up on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, albums are considered old school.

Sita Lyrical does not share that view, and is excited about the prospects for Unstoppable, her first album.

To be released on November 6 by Alfa Wraif Music and Bless Music Team, it contains songs like Face Card and Heal.

“Releasing an album means a lot to me. It means that time and dedication was placed into a body of work that showcases different sides of Sita,” said the artiste. “When a single is released, it highlights the thoughts, mood, and talent via a given topic. But when a body of work is produced it highlights many different thoughts, various aspects of an artiste’s talent.”

Face Card is the only song from Unstoppable that has been released. It is a bawdy track that recalls Lady Saw and Spice, two of the colourful acts who influenced her. She believes their spontaneous delivery helped make dancehall outrageous and attractive.

“The day an artiste becomes predictable is the day the artiste becomes boring. The fact that the audience does not know what’s coming next keeps them intrigued and keeps me relevant,” said Sita Lyrical.

Born in Kingston, she has been recording music since 2017. Some of her other songs include Mummy and Outside.
