Treasure Bay Estates backs Food, Rum & Reggae Festival in St Elizabeth

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Treasure Bay Estates has thrown its support behind the upcoming Food, Rum & Reggae Festival in Treasure Beach, St Elizabeth, as part of efforts to promote tourism, investment and economic recovery in the parish.

The three-day festival, scheduled for November 6 to 8, comes just over a year after Hurricane Melissa devastated sections of St Elizabeth and will showcase Jamaican cuisine, rum and reggae music while highlighting the cultural appeal of the south coast.

Aubyn Henry, director of Treasure Bay Investments, said the festival presents an opportunity to stimulate economic activity while celebrating the resilience of local communities.

“The true measure of development is not simply what we build, but the lasting value we create or people, communities and the generations that follow,” Henry said.

“One year after Hurricane Melissa, the work of recovery reminds us that resilience must be matched by action, and that progress requires sustained commitment, meaningful partnerships and opportunities that allow communities and businesses to thrive.”

As a sponsor, Treasure Bay Estates will have a booth at the festival, where representatives will engage visitors, share information about the development and connect with prospective buyers and investors.

Attendees will also be able to arrange visits to the property to learn more about the development.

Henry said the company’s involvement reflects its commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the local economy and promote Treasure Beach as a destination for tourism and investment.

“The future of Treasure Beach is shaped not only by its natural beauty, but by the ambition, enterprise and collective commitment invested in its continued growth,” he said.

The festival is expected to bring together residents, visitors and businesses for three days of cultural activities, providing another opportunity to promote St Elizabeth’s tourism offerings as the parish continues its recovery.
