Sandals Ocho Rios Spa opens in grand style
Sandals Ocho Rios Resort & Golf Club showcased its brand new spa boutique to the world last week at a lavish cocktail party attended by a wide cross section of personalities in the St Ann/Ocho Rios area.
Heading the list was Custos R O Walters and his charming wife, Public Defender Howard Hamilton, his wife Beverly and daughter Kaci, Custos Keith Rowe, Pat Taylor, Tessa Marsh, Kay Lewin, Bryden and Marlene McGregor, Jeanne Dixon, Sandy and Paul Goldsmith, Cheryl Robinson, Sinatra Duncan, Madeline Witter, Boris and Sheila Smith, Joan Marsh, Joel Marsh, Belinda Morrow, Pauline and Ethan Haughton.
The event, which took the form of a cocktail party, was a well-attended affair as the resort rolled out the red carpet for its honoured guests. Champagne, top class liquors and a mouthwateringly delicious array of hot and cold snacks was on display.
Guests were given tours of the new facilities and everyone present received a coupon for a complimentary massage. Team member Opal Bennett had the distinction of cutting the ribbon.
Spa Manager, Tanya Vassell, who delivered a short welcome address, noted that the Spa Boutique offered special affordable packages for Jamaicans wanting spa facilities as well as a gym. She said that care had been taken to ensure that the new facility was on par with international standards manned by a specially trained staff .
Resident manager, Clive Miller said the resort had a special commitment to fostering goodwill with members of the surrounding communities and invited them to take advantage of the spa facilities.
The new Spa Boutique offers various massage services, including a “couples massage”, aromatherapy and reflexology, facials and body treatments, body waxing, salon services, and nail services.
