Trendy collections at Fashion Escape
Fashion Escape, held last week, was truly a showcase of interesting and trendy designs by young Jamaican designers. It was held at the Stella Maris Church Hall, and sought to raise funds for the St Patrick’s Foundation.
Designers such as Samantha Jones, based at Le Meridien Jamaica Pegasus; Morenike, Carlton and Minka showed how creative one can use linen and wool. The more experienced designers such as Elaine Dreyer bought classic sophistication to her designs while Elan for Women collection featured trendy ensemble for the young and young-at-heart.
The stage was designed by Robert Casserly and was draped in white. The backdrop was also white but had an added touch of magic, giving it a magical illusion.
