Saint strides in Europe
The word is out. The Jamaican look is in London, Paris, Milan – the fashion capitals of the world will soon be captivated by Jamaican models who will be gracing the catwalks and the pages of the leading magazines.
Since the beginning of the year, Saint International, a relatively new agency has secured international agency representation for approximately 20 of its models, six of whom already had international connections.
Fresh from his European model placement tour which took him to London, Paris, and Milan, Saint’s CEO Deiwght told All Woman that the primary objective of his trip was to open more doors, expand connections and create more access for Jamaican, and ultimately, Caribbean models to the key fashion markets.
One of the highlights of his trip was meeting with respected French designer, Accedine Alaia to secure a placement for Canise Jackson (All Woman cover model – April 22).
Other Saint Models signed in London include Tafari Hinds (Booking Management), Willard Mullings, Atiba Baker (Fashion Face of the Caribbean 2001 winner from Riverton City), Mario Miller and Sharlane James are with Profile Model Management. Celina Cowan (Jamaica’s first petite model to be signed internationally, at 5 ft 7 in) will also be with PROFILE.
