What a lovely week. Not even the non-stop Margaritaville parties in Negril, could drag me away from city Kingston. Emancipation Park has certainly left me feeling good as did the talented set of musicians under the baton of Peter Ashbourne at last week’s Independence Gala. To quote Marcia Griffiths “proper treatment”. That’s what happens when musicians are able to read music.
Maurine Capleton of MC Decors started the party season in Kingston last week with an amazing session. What a wow of a guest list!
Sheila Graham’s Area Youth Crew did well in the United Kingdom. Opening night brought out Jamaica’s High Commissioner David Muirhead, Bill Morris, patron of the Area Youth Crew, Eileen Ware, NCB director Thalia Lyn, and Dale Robinson, NCB operations mgr, United Kingdom. The show was sponsored by NCB Zip Cash U.K.
Cat Coore was caught by our cameras chilling out at the trendy Terra Nova Hotel He was here to attend a funeral. And we spoke briefly about his latest album.
The bad news, however, is that the juice has certainly been extracted from the OJ’s. Kingsley Thomas yes, but some of the others are certainly questionable to say the least. Perhaps the committee members would like to share with John Public the criteria for such an award.
For if it’s all about friendship then does that mean that the plenty paper one, the niece, and the technical team behind the power outage at Jamaica House will somehow qualify? The plenty paper one has graduated to a radio…Alleluia!
My OJ certainly goes to the effervescent one from down under who is on the job market once again,, having lost her 2.2 million dollar per annum job with the niece. Please note that the perks included a fully paid for Norbrook pad, as well as transportation. Wow!
Who says there’s no money in the food industry? And what’s up with young Andrew. Mistake #1 was the wife scene at Priscilla’s. Mistake #2 was the police altercation last week.
And our friend, dare we resurrect her name, is almost ready to have a house warming. Continue to watch this spot.
There’s much upset in the camp. Fact is she’s back.
Not too sure if she plans to purchase another wedding dress and send out press releases. But what will she now do is everybody’s guess especially now that the project is over.

P.S. The nude statue is causing an uproar. How hypocritical our people are. The same people who urinate in public. The same people who frequent go-go clubs and subscribe to the porno channels.
PPS Bumped into a former Russian stripper/dancer last week Monday evening. She is no longer on the Platinum payroll as she’s happily married to the vertically challenged Chinese one. Yet another Cinderella story.
Now whoever says nothing good ever happens in Jamaica?
