It’s not you, it’s me
When someone decides they want out, telling the other party is usually the hardest part, especially if the other party has no clue about the change in tide.
Some people will be honest and get right down to discussing business, others will use more nefarious, even evil means to send the message that it’s over.
What’s the worst way someone has told you that you’re kaput? The readers below share.
Courtney, 35:
‘It’s not you it’s me’. That has to be the lamest one in the book. No doubt about it.
Richie, 37:
They usually find some physical attribute that they don’t like. Like my last girlfriend told me that my nose was too big. I mean all this time she was with me and it was never a problem? She wanted out and that’s the best reason she could find?
Donovan, 38:
My last girlfriend told me that she wasn’t that into me. I was astonished. I think the truth would have been easier to swallow than that load of crap.
Rayan, 32:
My last ex told me she wasn’t the right girl for me. She didn’t even ask for my input. But because that is what she wanted I just let her go. I didn’t want to hold on to anyone against their will.
TJ, 31:
My last girl couldn’t lie to save her life. So when she left she gave me no excuses. She just woman up and told me like it is. I respected her much more for that. I mean if it’s not working it’s not working.
Karen 50:
My last man admitted that he never took us seriously enough. And so when he saw that I was putting my all into the relationship, he felt as if he couldn’t do it anymore as it was not fair to either one of us. But at least when he left he encouraged me to find someone better than him.
Paul, 32:
A girl left me and told me that my toenails and fingernails were too dirty. Seriously? Who does that? A simple bucket of soap and water would have fixed that. I remember one time she told me my skin was too ashy. Not even brush she wanted me brush against her too hard.
Andre, 35:
My last girlfriend, we were pretty serious, told me that she couldn’t imagine having kids with me because they wouldn’t be as cute as her first child, who she had with a more attractive man. Then she said it didn’t make sense for us to waste any more time together.
